We, Rob and Adrienne, emigrated from the Netherlands to the French Dordogne and became the owners of 'La Châtaigneraie' ('The Chestnut Orchard') near the historic town of Jumilhac le Grand.
Here we offer on eleven hectares of nature the ideal place to enjoy a holiday in a holiday home, bungalow / gîte or studio and to enjoy the beautiful nature, unparalleled tranquility and fascinating surroundings of the Parc Naturel Régional Périgord Limousin.
The various comfortable holiday homes are suitable for 1 to 10 guests. From the terraces of the holiday home and bungalow / gîte you overlook the estate. Enjoy the sunset and starry evening sky on the terrace.

For the water lovers, we have a private lake of 5000 m², large enough for canoe, paddleboard, or rowboat. Or for a refreshing swim on a warm day. We have provided a fenced, sunny sandy beach and a small dock with boats that you are free to use. Enjoy this natural swimming water without chemicals!
For those who enjoy fishing, there is always a quiet spot to enjoy the silence and nature.
In spring, the majestic chestnut trees announce the arrival of summer with their abundant white blossoms. On warm days, you will find coolness and shade, and in autumn, there is an abundance of delicious sweet chestnuts.
